Each Book Study Includes:
- “Rotten Reading Plan” – a two-week suggested reading schedule and plan for all activities for each book.
- Book Preview and Terms – an overview of the book’s theme and storyline, and an introduction to new literary terms.
- “Loathsome Literary Lingo” –Â a quick fun lesson on the basic literary terms introduced with each book study.
- Illustrated Comprehension Questions – multiple choice questions for students to “regurgitate” what they know. Black and white illustrations can be colored by student while a parent reads aloud.

ROTTEN READING BOOK AÂ is the first of three reading workbooks that will complete the LANGUAGE ARTS FOR REVOLTING WRITERS. Workbooks B & C will be available in the coming year!
Each workbook in the reading series aligns with themes in the other workbook chapters in the series. Books can be used alone or along with REVOLTING WRITING and GROSS-OUT GRAMMAR 1 & 2. The writing, vocabulary, and illustration journal gets kids writing a variety of essays about topics that excite them. Silly vocabulary and illustration prompts add to the fun! The grammar series includes two semester-long books if straightforward, game-like grammar exercises.
Chapter themes align in all books in this language arts series and can be combined for a full year of language arts and laughter!
